Went to Romby's after I heard that it had been taken over by new owners. They've really started to clean the place up, new flooring and whole new clientele.There was 4 in our group. My boyfriend and I ordered the pulled pork nachos with jalapenos and cheese and potato skins - the best skins I've EVER eaten. Our friends had the brisket sandwich and the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich which they said was awesome. Will definitely be going back for dinner again. We ended up staying a lot longer than we planned as the band was just about to set up so we stayed and had a really great night. The bartenders are excellent. Quick and friendly service. I'm not sure why there is a single poor review here. My husband and I go all the time, and have yet to be even slightly dissapointed. The steak deal is not only one of the best deals in town, but done to perfection and moutwateringly spectacular every time. We've ordered nearly everything on the menu and will continue to do so. As far as the staff, perhaps on one or two occasions a yound girl just isn't well suited for the job...but hey, that's life.Overall the staff are very friendly and will go the extra mile to satisfy us. My wife and I both now love "The Duck". I had the pizza and wings and I was not disappointed. They are both easily the beat I've ever eaten this side of the border. The wings are large and crispy and the pizza has a nice thin crust and tons of cheesy goodness. My wife had the Blue Cheese Burger and when it arrived we both marveled at how massive the homemade patty was. She also couldn't stop commenting on how great the homemade blue cheese sauce and handcut fries were. The service was great (the waitress was hilarious and had us both in stitches) and they we're also showing the hockey game on a huge TV in HD! I think the stars aligned when I went to Swiss Chalet a while back (more than a year ago). As always, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy without being stuffy or drab, and the service was quick (so quick I barely blinked and my food was there!). We had an AMAZING server who was around without hovering, and our food, as I said, was out within five minutes of ordering. This was, by far, the best service I have ever received in any restaurant. The server, in particular, was just absolutely incredible. She refiilled our water glasses when they were nearing empty, and it was like she was telepathic: she came with more napkins when things got a little bit messy! Overall, phenomenal. I love the Asiago Quesadilla...it is a meal by itself. The crab dumplings are very good, and if it was real crab, they would be at least twice the price, so I am not quite sure why there are people complaining. I have been going to this restaurant from day 1 when they opened and I had never had an issue with a meal, however last night we ordered salmon and it was way too salty. I couldn't eat it and was embarrassed to complain but the owner had no issues taking the plates back and preparing from scratch with no salt at all. I'm a frequent visitor of Bleu Turtle. The chef and staff are always courteous! I think one more server would be beneficial - but I usually come to catch up with a friend and don't mind the wait. I order the smoked salmon tart EVERY time. I just can't seem to have anything else - I love it so much! I have tried their pork belly and it's amazing.
