My husband and I went for lunch following the Carleton Place Triathlon. My husband got a free meal with his tri registration. He had a spicy chicken wrap with cold soup. He loved it. I had the veggie smash burger with sweet potato fries. It was the best veggie burger I've ever had. It came home made mustard, relish and ketchup on the side (all were amazing). The bun was fresh and chewy. The prices were excellent value for money. We will definitely go again.
Oh yes, and the service was fast and friendly!

Ok here's the deal..if you want the best pizza in the valley, not to say anything about the flawless donairs this is the place. It starts with the warming customer service you just don't experience anymore. If you get a chance to talk to Mo or his sons and his staff you will understand why I'm rambling. Kudos mo. Excellent, flavourful food made here. The staff is very professional, polite and willing to please. This restaurant is very clean and the food is excellent. We bought a large quantity of shawarma beef, Toum and pickles for a home catered wedding reception, and every guest raved about the delicious buffet!! This is an excellent place to stop for a healthy dose of Lebanese food!! Thank you Shawarma Place.

Bud is a very kind guy. 2 years ago I had to move to Ottawa for a stem cell transplant to treat my rare leukemia. I ended up living with my friend in Carleton place for 4 or so months. Bud personally drove me to Ottawa general and back (2 round trips weekly) himself when he wasn't busy. I couldn't have asked for a better, and more caring driver.

James was very good from start to finish. Always informative and kept me up to date. In that moment I was never made to feel like a number. However, up until a week ago, they have made me feel like I was just another quota they were meeting for the end of the month. I sent an email about a discrepancy and they have never responded. Very disappointing. Overall the service was good and James was professional and honest.

Ned cut a granite top for our vanity. He did a beautiful job and very quickly. Ned was great at responding to emails and did everything possible to ensure that we got exactly the vanity top that we wanted. The price was excellent. My cousin from Holland (owner of a travel agency) wanted a special menu with a capable Chef and a special place to celebrate his 50th Birthday on holiday in Canada. He found it in Slackoni's. The setting on the water was intimate and relaxed with music supplied by a classical guitarist. This was a multi-course meal and each was delivered with great presentation style and flavour. The group was delighted with anti-pasto dishes of vitello tomatol, smoked salmon, mini portabello mushrooms stuffed with shrimp and a mouth watering caprese salad. Moving inside to a cozy adjoining party room we were treated to a tasty seafood fettuccini pescatore. The main event was elk tenderloin in a maple bbq glaze. And for those who like desert, the ultimate..the zucotto "italian bomb cake" Amazing!
As per the menu, the wine was also chosen to compliment each course. It was a great event and everyone was thrilled. Our european guests, so used to eating in Paris were very impressed! Hats off to Slackoni's staff in delivering the service in keeping with the excellent food. Congratulations to all!
