Myself and my partner have been visiting Gabriola for many years and were so happy to find a new restaurant to try this summer. We were blown away by the quality of food and service we found at woodfire pizza and pasta! By far the best place to eat on Gabriola.

So grateful for Summer Rain, working long hours and trying to help all those who have run out of water or with more urgent water/well needs. Other water companies didn't call back and take weeks to show up, but Summer Rain got in touch immediately and were here the next morning.

My husband and I had an excellent dinner at Woodfire Monday 5th Aug. I enjoyed a wonderful seafood grill, and John had the Cioppini and also enjoyed his meal. So glad Woodfire is here on Gabriola!!

We came in by ferry from vancouver. had to take a cab to airport which is costly. but no other car rental offices were open after 5pm downtown. because i am under 25 was asked for proof of insurance by lady from bugdet. why would i carry my insurance in my pocket. hertz was nice enough to help us out and got a better price. see curt at hertz for a good deal

My girls have been going here for nearly 7 years now and for us find it such a great school. We've had great teachers, smaller classrooms, and I love that they teach our kids to be well rounded. It's very much a small family-like community. My kids are very happy and we plan to keep them at Aspengrove until they graduate.

We've taken Tofino Bus for years to get all over the island & their service is impeccable. The drivers are always helpful & friendly & the fact that they go directly to the ferry is a massive plus as it means no more rushing around when you get off the ferry or having to leave Vancouver ridiculously early to catch the bus.
So glad they've taken over the routes from Greyhound. The buses are nicer with more comfy seats. Also the fares are lower than other bus services available on the island.

Ashley Walker has done an amazing job at blending the GENERATIONS at this barber shop! She and Andrea (both formerly from Beaners) work magic with the littlre ones, while maintaining a comfortable, affordable traditional barbershop for the gents. They are well versed in color and cuts for the ladies too. Love this place!!

I always thought I had to be a millionaire to fly in a helicopter. But I actually was referred to BCMH by word of mouth. And compared to other places this was was about 1/4 of the cost. So I thought why not! We toured the South Part of Vancouver Island, which is beautiful, by the pilots' choice.(I didn't know where to go) We went over the coast lines and over mountains, and it was just an incredible experience. On top of that there is a field that they can land in where there is this small english pub, you can have lunch. How cool is that? Anyways, since then I also had to get to Vancouver Island from Vancouver and back, and the planes were full, so I took BCMH for that which was quick and easy and a little bit adventurous. There's nothing cooler than telling other people, that you got a helicopter today. Anways, it is a small company, but the value is amazing, I felt safe at all times. And overall one of the best experiences of my life.
